Canton Man Caught With Over 17 Pounds Of Drugs….Worth Over 2 Million..

A Canton man is facing charges in Connecticut after police say they arrested him with $2 million worth of drugs, including opioids.Carlos A. Hernandez-Salazar, 27, of 608 Columbus Ave. NW, is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and two counts of risk of injury to a child.On Wednesday, police in Branford, Connecticut, stopped a car in which Hernandez-Salazar was riding because the car had heavily tinted windows, according to a Branford Police Department press release.

During the traffic stop, police noticed that Hernandez-Salazar and the driver, who was not charged, were acting unusually nervous and the officers asked for permission to search the car. Police found a duffel bag in the trunk with more than 17 pounds of narcotics that included a mix of fentanyl and Tramadol, an opioid pain medication, according to a press release.
Two children also were in the car.
